This is Nasreddin's story, hope you enjy it ^^
(adapted from my favorite book)
There were four children who always tried to find ways to play a trick on Nasreddin, but they always failed. That after noon they wanted to try again. They knew that usually Nasreddin went by the road at about four o'clock. So by that time they had been there waiting for Nasreddin. When they heard the sound of the doney's hoofs coming nearer, the boys started distributing the duties among them.
Mahmoud quickly climbed the tree beside them, with a kite hung on his left shoulder. "There! just put it there, he's quite near!" said one of his friends beneath him. Then Mahmoud tied up his kite to the branch nearest to his right hand. After that he quickly climbed down.
"Uncle Nasreddin. We need your help. We have a trouble now. If you can't help us, we will not go home for several days," Jemal said. "He wants that kite, Uncle Nasreddin. If we din't take it to him, his father will beat us all," said Mustapha. "Wait, wait, young boys. Tell me first what the problem is. After that I will think wether I can help you or not," said Nasreddin.
Jemal explained, "This morning we borrowed Nouri's kite. We could fly it high into the sky. But unfortunaely the rough wind drove it down. And it is entangled in the branches over there." Nasreddin look up. A kite was entangled in the thick branches of the tree. He said, "Just climb up and take it,"-"We can not clomb, Uncle Nasreddin. Help us please. Take the kite for us, please," Mustapha insisted.
Nasreddin was sorry for them and prepared to climb. He took off his shoes. But the same time he heard one of the boys giggled and whispered something. He did not hear it clearly, he heard only the words "the shoes". This made him suspicious. He thought that the children would play a atrick on him again.
"Come on, Uncle Nasreddin!" said one of them. Naasreddin took his shoes and inserted the into the big pocket of his old baggy teouser. "But, people usually don't bring their shoes when they climb a tree, Uncle Nasreddin!" shouted two of them. Nasreddin looked down and smiled, "I'm ready in case there is a road in the sky."
